Hi, my name is Yuandao

I view architecture as a holistic discipline, focused on addressing a range of contextual challenges by implementing thoughtful, responsive design strategies. The history courses I have pursued over the years have deepened my understanding of the critical role that historical, environmental, and social contexts play in architectural design. I have always paid extra time to analysis including research into historical precedents, demographics, transportation networks, and environmental conditions. I always try to put my feet in the shoes of users, from a first-person perspective, striving to understand the needs and perspectives of those who will interact with the space. The analytical work is not only essential for me as preparation but also the key effort that continues throughout the entire design process, enabling me to think critically and design with intention, focusing on moments and experiences.

I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, but I always find great satisfaction in the creative journey.
