The housing complex breaks the traditional “self-used” estate concept, but rather embraces the recently popular “Airbnb” operating mode, which is making it a racial and cultural equity vacation rental that welcomes tourists coming from all backgrounds. The concept of the design focuses on the tourists’ experiences by utilizing a full spectrum of sensory design - Views, Sounds, Touch, and Smells. The goal is to create a vacation retreat for tourists to have an immersive living experience in Hawaii while ensuring sustainability and affordability in both the fabrication and post-construction phases by implementing pre-cast and VRGC technology. The project will be a bridge that links humans and nature.
